You will see an interface window like the one to the right. The ATVUSB-Creator application is going to turn your erased USB flash drive into a “patchstick” that we can use to install software on your Apple TV. Next you need to download a free application called ATVUSB-Creator (Mac) or ATV-Win (PC). See the screen shot below for more details. But it's good that you have both options. I recommend Ethernet because whenever I do wireless on anything like video, it always seems to be a little choppy. Ethernet and 80211N inside for you to get your Internet connection. It does have HDMI out and optical out for your audio, also RCA audio if you don't have an optical in on your TV or your stereo system. There's no on-board storage except for what's used to buffer the streams. SD card slot and two USB ports allow you to expand storage, so if you want to store some videos and files on here, you can do that by that extension. But where it counts, it's got good stuff. A lot of people have talked about that, whether it's gonna fit nicely with all your other flat appliances. It is a little weird form factor here, this kind of off-center box. You can just put this in the entertainment center and take advantage of all the great video you can get through Boxee. But now they've teamed up with D-Link to sell you a box so that you don't have to worry about hooking up your laptop or your computer or anything like that.
